Artist Talk Session #2

On Saturday, February 2, 2024, the first batch of Chadwick Youth Supporters of the Sunshine Blanket Foundation X Beyond Border participated our second Artist Talk session.

The participants of the events consisted the members of, Dylan Oh (G11), Ernie Choi (G11), Chloe Yu (G11), Jinwoo Kim (G10), Ryan oh (G10), Chase Lee (G9), Justin Jeong (G9) and Daniel Kim (G9).

We were able to have a 2 hour interview and discussion with the artists about the topic of the exhibition, “empty space.” The interview provided an opportunity for us to change our perspective of our lives in the hyper-competitive society.

It was a priceless experience as we were able to look at artworks centered around the theme of “empty space (공백)” and had interviews with the artists. We were able to look at various artworks with different mediums, including sculpture, painting, and digital art.

These arts were fascinating as they explored the idea of “empty space” in the lives of modern people. Although all artworks revolved around a single theme, it was intriguing to see how various artists comprehended and expressed differently.
